IT-enabled services do not include remote production or manufacturing units; the local branches of global businesses; or businesses on the Internet. Outlocation is the term used for obtaining services outside the national borders of a company and a host of companies are now outlocating services. Outsourcing is the term used for obtaining services from another organization (or third party).
